All Homemade Cookies
This crisp,
thick, and buttery cookie is an old-time delicacy from Scotland. If
desired, you can tint the dough in assorted colors before chilling. These are
great cookies for tea parties or the holidays!
Makes about 2 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 cups flour
Directions:
Cream together the butter and sugar. Work the flour in with your hands. Chill. Roll the dough to 1/3 - 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in a 350 preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. (The tops will not brown.)
