Oatmeal Cookies in a Jar

What could be better than home baked oatmeal cookies? Receiving a gift of home made Oatmeal cookie mix in a jar!  

In a large bowl, combine the following ingredients:

1 c. brown sugar

1/3 c. granulated sugar

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. cinnamon

3 c. quick rolled oats

Place the mixture in a pretty jar or airtight container and include the following gift tag:

Oatmeal Cookies

1 package Oatmeal Cookie Mix 1 1/4 c. butter, softened 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, vanilla and egg.  Add the oatmeal cookie mix and blend well.  Drop cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-9 minutes.  Cool for one minute and then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
